MEET ELLIE

Hi there! I'm Ellie Jewkes, an axolotl breeder, outdoors woman, and all around animal enthusiast, certified in Fish and Wildlife Management.

My love of amphibians begin way back in my childhood when I would search under every moss-covered rock near our family cabin for just a glimpse of a tiger salamander. In my adult years I've had the wonderful opportunity to work at a world-class aquarium as an educator, and was able to share my love and knowledge. Shortly after, I acquired my very own axolotl, striving to give him the best possible care and using my experience with AZA standard husbandry to my advantage.

I now have eight axies and have just begun breeding since 2019. I strive to provide the highest standard of care for my animals and produce the healthiest pets for fellow pet owners and herp enthusiasts.
